2012 Meeting Workshops

At each of our regular monthly meetings we have had members conducting mini-workshop in their areas of expertise. The upcoming workshops are as follows:

January - David Bowen - The Ins and Outs of Performing Locally

SVSA Meetings

Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, except for November, at 7:30 p.m. Meetings generally begin with a short introduction and may include a songwriting exercise and/or a presentation by a guest or a member. The remainder of a meeting is devoted to critiques of members’ songs. Song critiques are limited to members only, but guests may attend an introductory meeting at no charge and are encouraged to sit in on the discussion and participate in any exercises.

SVSA meets at Third Street Coffeehouse, located in the basement of Trinity United Methodist Church in Roanoke, Virginia. Doors open at 7 p.m.; the meeting begins promptly at 7:30 and lasts until the last song critique is finished, or 10:30 p.m., whichever comes first.
