They have seven different contests throughout the year. Currently the two contests open for submissions, both with a deadline of June 1, 2015, are The Singer/Songwriter Awards, $30 entry fee, and The Lyric Writing Awards, $20 entry fee. Later in the year, they will have a FREE (no entry fee) contest which I entered once and won a third place in their Lyrics Only category. You can pay for a critique service if you would like.
They have one big annual contest and a submission deadline this year is November 20, 2015. There are 10 different genre categories plus a lyrics only category. The fee is $30 for the first song and $25 for each song after that. You receive a free e-book when you enter, "The Songwriters Handbook", and you get a free basic score sheet type of critique of your song. I have entered the Lyrics Only contest a couple of times.
They seem to accept submissions all year long with a grand prize winner announced in March. They have ten genre categories including Lyrics Only. Entry fee for one song is $29.95, two songs $54.90...(see their fee schedule) I have entered this contest twice in Lyrics Only. My lyrics "Hidden Songs" was a semi-finalist but did not win any money, and once I received a certificate for "Collective Works Award"---again no money, but I felt like somebody knew I'd sent something in!
